About this deal
During the battle for the Katana fleet, the New Republic manages to destroy some of the cruisers, but Thrawn wins most of them. Josh Pratt is a reformed motorcycle hoodlum who found God in Jail, got out, and became a private investigator. Meanwhile, Leia Organa Solo continues to investigate the Noghri, a strange alien race that has been attempting to capture her and her unborn twins.
Thrawn has the Katana fleet, he has an endless supply of brainless soldiers to supply them with, and he's anticipating their every move. However, there are several aspects of these books that just irked me the entire way through, and ultimately prevent the series from getting any more than a "read it if you've got nothing else better to read" recommendation from me.Very soon now we’ll begin the process of taking planets back from the Rebellion; and for that we’ll need an army every bit as well trained as the officers and crew of the Fleet. Nuestros queridos personajes irán de acá para allá buscando información, hablando con posibles aliados y hasta con enemigos con tal de conseguir la victoria para los buenos.
It all climaxes with everyone fighting for the Katana fleet, a battle which our heroes supposedly win, as well as being clued in to some vital information and gaining much needed allies. Twi'Lek females are always sex slaves, and Jawas are scavengers that apparently can be found off their homeworld of Tatooine (weird, eh? I also love how this book tackled Luke's concerns about training and teaching hours sister's children once they were born and how he was already on to the Dark Jedi as well. While getting more interesting by the end and very entertaining when paired with luke skywalker, the scenes with her and Karrde were snorefests. The sourcebook gives biographical profiles of notable personalities from Zahn's novel, and brief profiles of planets and aliens mentioned in the novel. Además que continuamente la llaman Lady Vader, siendo ella todo lo opuesto a lo que era aquel, algo que debe afrontar. In this essential Star Wars Legends novel, the sequel to Heir to the Empire, Grand Admiral Thrawn's sinister plan threatens to spell doom for the fledgling New Republic and its most iconic heroes.
That being said he knows banking on the Empire would be a bad move so he goes to sell the information to the New Republic but he is later captured by Thrawn and placed on his ship, the Chimaera. You scrambled around like mad hellions, got your troops and vehicles on the ground and set up … and then you stood around waiting for those strutting Fleet people in their spotless uniforms and nice clean ships to finish sipping their tea and finally get around to letting you loose.Me sigue llamando mucho la atención Mara Jade, la antigua Mano del Emperador, de la que aquí sabemos era una de varias y no la única como ella creía. For a moment those glowing eyes studied him, and Pellaeon unconsciously braced himself for a reprimand, or worse.
Regardless, I'm confident it's going to build up to something spectacular, and I can't wait to find out how this trilogy resolves. It's really interesting to once again watch Mara Jade admit to herself that she needs Luke, and Zahn begins the process with her of starting to essentially deprogram her from her time as the Emperor's Hand.
However, again, due that the novel was written several years before of that any happened before Episode IV, so it was great to watch all the details and planning done by Timothy Zahn, the author, about the Clone Wars and events around that era, however, nowadays there are already some “timeline mistakes”, but. Heck, one waits across the protagonists´ chapters to meet the bad one again, that´s truly a well developed character. This might be because the end of this relationship is something I already know the outcome of and therefore I’m projecting that knowledge onto what I’m reading, but it’s fun all the same. He worked well in the first book as an insert for us the readers- he was an officer from the time period of the original movies and Thrawn would tell him how he makes such brilliant deductions.
