About this deal

Together they face off against the dreaded Daleks, the marauding Mechonoids, the ant-like Zarbi and the meddling Monk, while visiting fantastic alien worlds and turbulent times in the Earth’s history. Whilst it might not have the head-spinning effect that it possessed in 1965 due to a rather turgid third episode, there is still much to like – particular the sprightly performance of CARRY ON film stalwart, Peter Butterworth as the Meddling Monk. Despite the fact that these episodes were created on a shoestring budget, churned out fairly quickly and shot almost as live television, many aspects of them are just as attention grabbing and fun as they were almost 60 years ago. For example, Tomorrow's Times: The Sixth Doctor, originally included on the Vengeance on Varos Special Edition DVD, was included instead on the Bluray release of Season 23. This was a wonderfully written and produced quasi-historical, that was both fun and frightening at points, but I expect nothing less from Spooner.

The back of the J-card is the same height as the box, while the front and sides are about a quarter of the height. Behind the Sofa - Featuring Maureen O’Brien (Vicki), Peter Purves (Steven), Carole Ann Ford, Janet Fielding (Tegan), Wendy Padbury (Zoe), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Bonnie Langford (Mel) and Sophie Aldred (Ace). Everyone who has watched any of the episodes has been impressed and no one has commented on the sound being pitched wrong, demonstrating that these discs have been pitch corrected (as I read elsewhere before I bought it).Nerdgazm strives to serve the interests of entertainment and pop culture enthusiasts with top-quality information on the leading franchises.

At its peak, Series 2 would achieve an audience of around 13 million - figures almost inconceivable for the 21st Century iteration of the programme.

These reissues included a "condensed" booklet and the same disc content (although a typo in the end credits of Meglos was corrected on the Season 18 set), and were released on 31 May. Featuring 9 discs of exclusive material, this limited edition set includes all 7 of the Fifth Doctor's adventures with Nyssa, Tegan, and Turlough, it's a must-have for fans.

I believe Russell must have filmed his connecting scenes some time ago, because he appeared some 15 to 20 years younger than he is now. Kicking off the season is Planet Of Giants which provides a strong idea which is well realised on screen. But they and we soon meet a ship-wrecked survivor named Vicki, who’s kept under the thumb of the menacing Bennett, and the even more menacing Koquillion, as the TARDIS crew tackle the mystery surrounding them. The Lost Twelve Seconds - Twelve seconds from the fourth episode are still missing, excised by overseas censors prior to recovery of the print. We’d never want to jinx anyone into an interview being their last, but if this does become William’s last major memory-lane trip before retirement… then it’s a beautifully fitting one. But here… at first, I’m sure they were excited — getting to design an alien, humanoid, butterfly species!

As well as how they exploded across the realms of popular culture in the form of toys, comics, films and stage shows. Now and Then - A look back at the locations used in 1964 for the recording of this story, comparing and contrasting them to to how they appear nearly 40 years later. In some ways, the terrible picture quality then helped in that you couldn't see how cobbled together the sets and costumes were.
