While the book does not have every guest as an example, I found it to be a more digestible way to understand some core concepts that anyone who achieves at the top of their chosen field.The guys cover some great points and give insights into lots of different areas on how to become a high performer. The only criticism is that at times the author’s own ego seems to come out in places that are not necessarily as useful as the book ascribes these parts to be. Half way through the book I was very annoyed about the concoction of stories and theories in this book.I liked the sections about taking ownership and motivation, but the best part of the book is the last chapter about courage. Their first book, High Performance , was a Sunday Times bestseller and has sold over 100,000 copies. If you want to stop making excuses and take responsibility for your life, I recommend you read this book. It’s actually reduced my work anxiety by helping me focus on what I can control and what I am good at.

One thing that I loved about this book is that thought they regularly give references to their podcast, but more importantly other quotations and case studies outside of their own podcast. It will help every reader apply these insights to their own lives - so they can become high performers themselves.

In the first short sitting my mum asked how many copies I'd bought, as everyone needs one as their guide on how to live life. Take any success story - take any famous person - who is famous because they are successful, and they will regale you for hours with stories about their training programme, the sacrifices, the early morning starts….
