About this deal

I would love for LEGO to release another Birds sets with a different trio as I really enjoyed this set. com Heads up, today is the final day that you’ll be able to score 2x LEGO Insider Points on all purchases on LEGO. The stand is also well designed, you can turn the Technic axle 360° to suit the owners needs of display and it can also be easily be separated. When I was a wee little kid, I used to be quite chatty and talkative which led to a lot of people drawing a connection with my first name and the Blue Jay’s – the bird is known for being noisy and quite rambunctious, which I thought was rather apt.

It must be nice for kids and fans that age to be able to have LEGO sets of the computer games that they play with on their devices. Unlike a real flower, this plant doesn’t need watering – making it a top gift for anyone who's a bit forgetful when it comes to watering their little green friend. Flip open the booklet and you’ll be treated to a nice little profile of the set’s designer, Tom Poulsom.Despite being the simplest model, the Hummingbird takes the cake for the most interesting scene overall. The flowers and leaves can be repositioned, allowing you to style the plant and create your own display, and there are even a few surprises if you look carefully enough – do you see the little purple LEGO swords used to make the flower’s stamens? Another example is the Technic axle going through the underside of the Robin could have been transparent, now it seems as if it's part of the Robin. Each Bird has its own stand very similar to the architecture stands but this time we have the green grass with a small pedestal for the birds to fit on.

I feel cheated and I would have preferred them to be 'Earth Blue' I don't understand why LEGO had to be lazy and choose black instead. Brick-a-brac is a UK based e-commerce retailer specialising in discontinued, rare and exclusive LEGO products. These beautiful and detailed models come with their own presentation stands showing their scientific names, so that you can display your birds for all to enjoy or detach and play as you wish. This set contains 3 unique printed 'Flat Tile 2x4' pieces in Black each with the specific bird's name in Latin: Erithacus Rubecula, Cyanocitta Cristata and Colibri Thalassinus. I highly recommend checking out Tom’s Flickr page – he has many more amazing creations inspired by the natural world.

One advantage with this compared with other birds is that the Robin can stand on its two very small feet without extra support, again heads up to Steen for some really great engineering techniques used. You can tilt the Robin’s tail up and down which alters the shape slightly, but the squarish shape of the plates gives it a rather primitive look. Main reason is in some angles you can see right through the bird but to be honest when it's on the stand you can barely notice. They look amazing on display (attracting a lot of praise and interest from my non-LEGO enthusiast friends) and will be one of those LEGO creations that will make your guests do a double take and go “whoa, are you sure that’s LEGO?

The pedigree of LEGO Ideas has been nothing short of remarkable, with modern classics such as Brent Waller’s Ecto-1, Peter Reid’s Exo Suit and Dr.Never before has a retail LEGO set achieve what Birds has done – blurring the lines between a toy and art. TKSST features smarter, more meaningful content than what's usually served up by YouTube's algorithms, and amplifies the creators who make that content. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the base where the "stick" on the birds go, putting it through the 2 holes vs a more solid connection seemed like they will fall out at times. I also really liked the clever use of cheese slopes and tiles to create the Robin’s textured appearance, especially around its head.
