About this deal

A 19 years old who's been left on her aunt's doorstep at 10 years old by a heroine addict mother, Isa has had a hard time fitting in. She wasn't our typical weak heroine, which I appreciated immensely, and she even had her great sassy moments, so there's that.

Temos vários gatilhos e temas sensíveis abordados, leiam com cautela, mas o final não decepciona, com plot twist que vai te surpreender é um final feliz que não é de conto de fadas. And the man that warns her off with every sharp bite of his temper holds the darkest secrets of all. The relationship between Lucian and Isadora started with lust, but it's not even the worst thing anyway, because the worst thing is that Lucian was interested in Isadora mainly because she was young (he is 19, he is 33) and she was a "forbidden fruit". Em uma atmosfera sensual e sombria, segredos são descobertos, mentiras contadas e dúvidas surgem sobre o que é real e o que foi imaginado. With mystery and rumor surrounding his family, Lucian operates in the shadows and has secrets to protect.Master of Salt and Bones is creepily haunting with a touch of goth and the passion and aura of sex goes over your skin like a long feather stroke. Um encontro entre uma jovem de 19 anos, excluída socialmente, lutadora e com uma história sofrida, com um homem rico, quebrado, de 32 anos visto como um demônio pela sociedade e cheio de mistérios no seu passado. Isadora Quinn was a music virtuoso, raised by her aunt after having been abandoned by her drug-addicted mother - her father wasn't in the picture, and Isa didn't know who he was. There was the whole mystery of what happened to Lucian's family, which we learnt about and I'll say this - the flashbacks and that whole plotline were my favourite thing and I found them actually interesting. Having been shunned by the island people and bullied by her high school classmates for her mothers sins, all she wants is a fresh start somewhere else.

Although he kept it well guarded, other than when he hired someone to take care of his mother, it lay bubbling beneath the surface, waiting to be set free. this book and the thousand trigger warnings it comes with, is in equal parts disturbing and hot and keri lake made me convince myself i have a questionable amount of kinks i never thought i'd have in a single lifetime.

The female leads are usually trying to balance what they want with what society expects of them, while the male leads live almost entirely outside of society. Making anyone wary of their affiliations and most especially the current Master of the castle in Tempest Cove located on the highest cliff, Lucian Blackthorne. Isa is getting under his skin and he knows the only way to stop it is to fuck her a couple of times and get her out of his system, but what he finds in her bed is a kindred soul because not only does he have secrets so does Isa. If this book was a music sheet, it would be a very complex, dark gothic composition that would render you breathless, as its keys replay in your head, keeping you awake at night.

TWs for sexual assault, abuse, violence, suicide, institutionalization, breath play, knife play, animal cruelty, torture, murder, hallucinations, panic attacks, severe mental health issues, and probably several others I just can’t remember right now. This is what I expected it to be going in and I think that that's the impression the blurb is trying to leave - we have an isolated, elusive, misunderstood, suffering, brooding H who lives in this castle and is the town's legend and we have this again misunderstood and jaded girl, who goes to work in the castle. So, there is this plotline about Lucien's hallucinations, how he was abused, the whole Solange thing but it didn't play a part in the story set in the present. Also the plot got so dramatic so fast, and while some of the revelations had me wowed, most of them were simply too much, too dramatic. I really enjoyed this read and I think the author did a wonderful job with incorporating the past and present because those chapters flowed nicely and we learned more about Lucian’s past. Either this was tamer than her other romance titles, or I'm becoming immune, but this story didn't make me read only in daylight with my hands over my eyes.

Somehow Isa manages to break down the Mad Son bare and together they become a force to be reckoned with. I craved something different, something unique, the cover is absolutely gorgeous, and being that its a new to me author I was willing to jump in both feet!

We could go inside Lucian’s mind and see exactly what happened to him during the previous years that made him what he is today. He'd ride up on his white steed and break the curse I've been fated to carry since the day I was born. The apathy for the throngs of summer tourists, paired with the begrudging need for them to prop up what would otherwise be a dying economy. From the psycho mother to the creepy cultish society to the thrill of unravelling the mystery of Lucian Balckthorne.
