About this deal

I was rooting for Hannah in both and in some ways no matter which direction your life takes or what decisions are made things can and will work out. Gabby is also here to constantly remind us that what society thinks about women is usually bullsugar, and I was here for it. When Gabby and Mark get ready to head home for the night, Ethan asks Hannah stay at the bar with him. What I’m getting at here is that I know there may be universes out there where I made different choices that led me somewhere else, led me to someone else. Despite the glowing and infectious declarations of adoration from other readers and friends, the promises of emotional and heart-wrenching storylines her blurbs tend to toss out and the often unique look at relationships she strives to deliver, I’m bailing.

I didn’t feel the characters were well developed enough and therefore really didn’t care much what happened to them in one universe not to talk about the second. But if I’m being honest, I also found it hard to look at myself in the mirror for more than a few seconds before going back out there and pretending I didn’t know what he was trying to do. If you read it I highly suggest you check out some articles/interviews with her because the way she describes what inspired the book just makes it even better. That a small part of me hates myself for relying on willful ignorance to justify what I suspected was wrong? A., there is a welcome party organized by Gabby with all of their high school friends, Ethan, her high school sweetheart, included. It’s been more than ten years, and yet I am still floating from place to place, relying on the kindness of Gabby and her family. At its simplest, it’s that romantic love and friend love are not the same thing, and I’m not in romantic love with them.

Sweet, heartfelt, and surprising, Forever Interrupted is a story about a young woman struggling to find her way after losing her husband. I ended up going by myself, not because I wanted to go but because my dad teased me that I never went anywhere without her. But if anything, that just highlights the difference between the two of us, how much Gabby has changed since then and how much I have not. One night, she comes to a fork in the road and, from this moment, the chapters alternate between the two parallel lives she's going to have depending on the choice she made. Gah, and there were times when it got intense because even though these two realities were vastly different in many ways, there were key elements that were fundamentally the same and it was so interesting to see the ways this one small thing could impact two potential lives SO differently! On the heels of leaving another city, Hannah moves back to her hometown of Los Angeles and takes up residence with her best friend, Gabby.

Told in dual timelines, this is the story of 29 year old Hannah, who has floated from job to job in various cities throughout the U. Hannah was a wonderful main character who felt so authentic, and although both endings veer towards the happy, neither one provides a perfectly smooth path. There are two epilogues and I think I must have read them both three times each before I finally put the book down for good because I loved them that much! With no real direction in her life, career and relationships, Hannah is ultimately experiencing a life slump.

I wish Sarah's character was a bit more elaborate and there was more connection with Hanah's parents. When I hug her, I remember how odd it is to hug someone so much smaller than I am, how different the two of us seem at first glance. It doesn’t always need to be a paramount, life changing decision, but then again, we don’t always realize when we are making one of those. Sort of like how Mickey Mouse is round ears and gloved hands or how Michael Jackson is white socks and black loafers. On the heels of leaving yet another city, Hannah moves back to her hometown of Los Angeles and takes up residence in her best friend Gabby’s guestroom. Each chapter toggles, unfolding Hannah's fate piece based on whether she goes home with her best friend or ex-boyfriend.
