The character also appeared in the music video for Peter Kay's 2005 charity single " Is This the Way to Amarillo". In November 2019, Mr Blobby appeared in Virgin Trains West Coast's "Final Whistle" music video, celebrating the end of the franchise. Though Mr Blobby is long gone from the estate, he still gets a brief mention in their free guidebook.

The Danish adaption of Noel's House Party had negative reception from audiences, and was cancelled after only six of thirteen planned shows. Thomas, Chard, Somerset had opened its doors in July 1994 and several scenes were filmed around the grounds.Featuring a star-studded cast including Will Carling, Valerie Singleton, Wayne Sleep, and more, this film is perfect for fans of comedy and British television. In March 1994, Elizabeth Kolbert of The New York Times wrote: "Mr Blobby's rise to stardom has provoked anguished commentaries about just what he stands for.BlobbyVision' was released on 10th October 1994 with lots of never seen before sketches including Blobwatch and Postman Blob, imagining what Mr Blobby's own television channel would be like! Mr Blobby' was released on the 1st November 1993, featuring a wide range of clips from 'Noel's House Party' and a few new ones too. His first credited appearance as Blobby was on Alan Carr: Chatty Man in December 2016 and has appeared as the character ever since. In 1994 Millennium Interactive released Mr Blobby, a platform game based on the character for Amiga [42] and MS-DOS. Mr Blobby is a character originally featured on the British Saturday night variety show Noel's House Party, broadcast on BBC One.

It was the final VHS tape to be released, with Noel's House Party ending 3 years later due to disputes and poor ratings. He then, according to the video, three hours later, broke into the studio and delivered the final note. and was filmed at the Crinkley Bottom Theme Park, Somerset and BBC Television Centre, Wood Lane, London. Mr Blobby has toured around the UK making public appearances at events such as university balls and in pantomime, and has made short videos and sketches exclusively for his official YouTube channel. Cricket House, which was used in the television series To The Manor Born from 1979 to 1981, was also used in BlobbyVision, including Postman Blob and the Antiques Show.John McLagan stood as "Mr Blobby" in the Littleborough and Saddleworth by-election in 1995, having changed his name by deed poll.
