About this deal
Perfect scent for after the bath, fresh cozies, snuggled up in a soapy clean hug with beautiful flowers and grounding wood. This thing is gigantic I wish there was an option here to add pictures so I could upload and show the world. As this perfume has been on the market for decades and is a cult-like favourite of so many ladies and gentlemen around the world, I am sure that it was maybe my skin that didn't go well with it, or I simply don't have a fondness for the (combined) notes it has.
One of those WONDERFUL old perfumes that are so masterfully blended that even an amateur nose like mine can catch many if not most of the notes.and I am picking up an optimistic spicy carnation, a warmer jasmine and a clean, unsexy youthfulness. The second fragrance, L'Air du Temps, remains the label's best selling perfume; a bottle is sold every ten seconds around the world. This is the very classy sister of Farouche which happens to be one of my favorites so I tried this since a lot of people love L'air du temps. The boy is long gone and my L'air du Temps is now part of a collection that is so much wider in scope than in my youth. have a vintage parfums, atomiseur rechargeable, the bottle itself is already exquisite, with a beautiful golden cap.
it matches the yellow pictured box and bottle, though the bottle i tested hasnt got all the other writing on it. United by their poetic visions, the two houses come together to create this exclusive limited edition of L’Air du Temps, with a reinterpreted bottle and fragrance. Reynis has reinterpreted the iconic L’Air du Temps feminine fragrance in a true celebration of French savoir-faire. The bottle’s design is echoed on the midnight blue outer box, decorated with golden twists, doves and stars, reminiscent of the refined paper used to wrap the creations in Alix D. If you get the extrait it's a sweeter, less powdery, more liquified version of it in it's purest form that's the best.
For me it immediately brings strong memories of my grandmother to mind and these are filled with warmth and love from a beautiful woman. The bottle features a luminous white porcelain-style finish and is encased in a midnight blue box decorated with a gold motif, embodying the delicate details of artisanal craftsmanship.
The benzoin, vetiver, oakmoss, and amber under the numerous other scents in the top and middle notes are sublime. I was helping my mom clean her closet, and in a quiet secluded corner sat a beautiful, vintage, almost full bottle of L'Air du Temps (eau de toilette) that she bought in Saudi Arabia circa 1979. It makes me emotional when I think of the occasion when it has been thrown into the market of perfumes.I'm so glad I took a chance and blind bought L'Air du Temps based on Fragrantica reviews and my passion for unsung Proper Perfume heroes of the past. Roses, jasmines and gardenias are the backup supporting it’s middle notes and then sandalwood, moss and amber are the base for this gorgeous floral perfume. Best paired with a white eyelet nightgown and sleeping with a bar of Ivory soap under your pillow so that you have squeaky-clean dreams. The florals in this smell a lot like taking a walk through a residential street with nice gardens in the springtime. I think this is the best perfume of all time (in my opinion) because it is timeless and has the most gorgeous bottle.
