The year 1984 followed, but after this, the series rewound its year of focus, issuing collections that went from 1982 and backwards into the late 1970s. Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking: Great song, will talk more about it later on as it reappears on another Now! Note that whitelisting RYM will not stop Ghostery; you must disable the 'Human Web' feature entirely. The series is then moved forward again, with the release of Now Yearbook 1992 in July 2023 (an Extra followed in August). These were all released on CD and magnetic cassette, but with the 1993 and 1994 volumes also being released on the vinyl format.

Eurythmics – There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart) (Greatest Hits / Ultimate Collection mix which is just a fade of the album version. These are followed by Lloyd Cole’s delightful Lost Weekend and The Communards dignified piano-led debut You Are My World. Now Dance 92 (2 November 1992) Uniquely, 2-LP/2-MC/CD* with 12" mixes,*single CD with abridged tracklisting and 7" edits. Each release is issued as a limited edition mini-hardback book, with the CDs in sleeves forming the pages of the ' yearbook' which contains an introductory overview of the year, original 7" single artwork, trivia, chart positions and a quiz. Two more chart-toppers feature; UB40 and Chrissie Hynde’s evergreen cover of Sonny and Cher’s I Got You Babe and ex-Ultravox frontman Midge Ure’s surprisingly successful If I Was [this had already been bagged by Out Now! The presentation of each release has evolved notably over time: from 1986 through to 2013, all double and triple CD sets were released in chubby Jewel cases which could hold up to 6 discs. While John and Andy rocked out with Robert Palmer in The Power Station, Simon, Nick and Roger kept a more new romantic vibe for Arcadia. The Special Editions series includes a wide range of Now anniversary collections, different music genres, eras, and decades, as well as commercial tie-ins with Smash Hits, Disney, Eurovision, HMV and the Official Chart Company.

It does, however, remind me that I’ve never seen an episode of Miami Vice, which I should probably rectify at some point. EMI and Virgin were the real winners as their first Now spin off – The Christmas Album reached the summit on 21 December 1985.Due to licensing issues, these re-compiled versions often use alternative mixes such as album versions. A song from a different world, where the Iron Curtain meant that English boys weren’t allowed to date Russian girls, or something.
