At the landfill, they toys are pushed onto a conveyor belt. Buzz and Woody rescue Lotso from a shredder and help him reach an emergency stop button. Lotso abandons them, however, and they fall into an incinerator. Buzz and Jessie join hands and face the approaching fire, prompting everyone else to do the same. The three toy aliens operating a claw rescue them, and they make their way home. Andy donates them all to a little girl Woody met at the daycare, Bonnie. When introducing Buzz, Andy describes him as "the coolest toy ever". As the toys settle in at Bonnie's house, Buzz finds himself performing a romantic rumba with Jessie to the Spanish version of "You've Got a Friend in Me" as the film ends; much to the amusement of the other toys. XR is an LGM sized robot that sports Star Command's colors (purple, green, white) and logo on his chassis. He has a disembodied gold/bronze-colored head with yellow optics, encased purple circles and green eyelids. However, sometimes the optics appear green or red depending on his mood. He possesses short arms and legs which can stretch out to any length he wants. He also possesses continuous treads encased in green feet and has a pair of purple hands. His head is surrounded by an oval glass dome. are ready for the propulsion jet lights, which lets you blast across the universe at galactic speeds to save the day!
In an early version of Lightyear, Sox was originally going to look and act way more cat-like (according to concept art) in which he would look more true-to-the-word to real life ginger cats; in addition, he also had no collar, had yellow eyes, and his body and tail had stripes. According to storyboard artist Dean Heezen, some additional cat-like things Sox could’ve done was stretch, stand on hind legs, ambush, and itch. He would’ve also coughed up hairballs, and he also would’ve had retractable claws and actual fangs. He even had tapidum lucidum, aka Night Vision (an animal's way of seeing in the dark) whenever Buzz or if any of the Junior Zap Patrol shone a bright light on him. [1]

A movie set in space called for the kind of high-tech gear and blinking gadgetry that would make a sci-fi fan smile. Says producer Galyn Susman, “The look is a cool mishmash of retro and futuristic.
